HAPPY HOUR

"Happy Hour" is a heartwarming and comedic television series about a local bar in an urban neighborhood on the brink of gentrification. The bar, which is called Happy Hour, is owned by Luke and Dorene Pride, who are a retired couple. However, the bar is now run by their son TC Pride, who has returned to his childhood neighborhood after a successful career as a chef to the stars, including serving as the personal chef for former President Barack Obama.

As TC adjusts to life back in his childhood room, located on the second floor above the bar, he navigates the challenges of running the bar, balancing the old school mentality of his parents with his modern perspective, and trying to keep the bar relevant in an ever-changing world all while dealing with the dynamics of a close-knit family. Meanwhile, Luke and Dorene provide a steady hand and offer advice as they watch their son take the reins of the family business.

The series explores themes of family, friendship, tradition, and community, and highlights the importance of embracing change while still holding onto what is truly important. The show explores themes of urban renewal, gentrification, and the politics of race and class through the lens of a family-owned bar, offering a unique and comedic look at the changing face of the city.

THE CAR LOT

Wayne Youngblood is the owner of a struggling used-car lot located in a tough urban neighborhood. He's in big trouble because he's gambled away his business and his home, which is located on the car lot, as collateral for a loan from the notorious loan shark, Hard Bottoms. Now, he must raise the money to repay the loan or risk losing everything.

Wayne's father, Jerome Youngblood, is a middle-aged man who has recently decided to embark on a music career. He sees this as his last chance to make something of himself before it's too late. But Jerome's dream clashes with Wayne's need to raise money quickly. The two have a strained relationship, and Wayne feels the weight of the family expectations and the pressure to fix his gambling mistakes.

The situation becomes more complicated when Jerome starts using the car lot as his music studio, putting even more pressure on Wayne to come up with the money before Hard Bottoms takes action. As they work together to save the business, the two Youngbloods find themselves in one ridiculous situation after another, including a series of disastrous car sales and hilarious misunderstandings with potential customers.

In the end, Wayne and Jerome must come up with a plan to repay Hard Bottoms and save their business. It's a race against time, but with a little luck and a lot of humor, the Youngbloods just might make it out on top.
